Stand Up Paddleboard (SUP) Rentals
Skip the traffic and clusters of tourists that hound Clearwater Beach and check out the real gem of Pinellas County. There is a reason why Caladesi Island is constantly among the top ranked beaches in the country. Sail Honeymoon offers stand up paddleboard (SUP) rentals that will allow you to experience these pristine beaches and turquoise waters in a whole new way. Come to Sail Honeymoon to stand up and see the water from a brand new perspective!
Our stand up paddleboard rentals are perfect for the beginner up to the experienced.
We are located on the Dunedin Causeway, the gateway to these lush islands and white sand beaches. As part of St. Joseph's Sound, SUP rentals from Sail Honeymoon provide a very unique experience. Shallow waters protected by the Gulf of Mexico keep the waves at bay and make for a very relaxing paddle for both beginners and those who are more advanced. Caladesi Island is just a short paddle away from the Dunedin Causeway. Many of the areas around it are protected grass flats where even motor boats are not permitted, leaving nature's paradise to only paddleboarders and kayakers. The wildlife is abundant and adds to this unique experience. There are frequent dolphin, eagle and osprey sightings and even the occasional manatee!

Why is Stand Up Paddleboarding the new craze?
Stand up paddleboarding (SUP) offers a fun, relaxing way to play on the water. All though paddleboards look similar to a surf board there are no waves required to enjoy this activity. SUP rentals can provide you a full body workout; however, you can move at your own pace, cruising along the water or paddling at ease, taking in the gorgeous sights. Because you stand at your full height, the view is as if you are standing on water. You can take in the spectacular views of everything from wildlife to what's on the horizon.
Are you a beginner?
The waters off the Dunedin Causeway in St. Joseph's Sound are known for their calm flat water providing little resistance to learning your balance. Stand up paddleboarding is pretty easy to learn, but you can expect to occasionally fall as you are starting out. At first, you may find it easier to kneel on the board rather than to stand upright. Either way, the sites are breath-taking. It is recommended that guests wear bathing attire or clothing that moves comfortably with you. You will most likely get wet!! We also advise you put sunscreen on as you may be having so much fun on water, you might not feel the sun on your skin. “I thought using a stand up paddleboard would be difficult, but it was pretty easy to get the hang of. I was surprised at how relaxing and fun it is. Paddleboarding is a marine life tour. We had dolphins come up right alongside of us! We had a blast. I'd recommend Sail Honeymoon to anyone!” – Amber H.
